The power to become supreme soul is already given to every human being by God but ignorantly we cannot recognize that power so that we spend our whole life in pain and struggle. There is one word for god in Sanskrit “परमात्मा”, which has two words “परम” and “आत्मा”, in which “परम” means supreme or divine and “आत्मा” means soul. We all have the soul which is the ultimate source of energy that is in built in all of us. But that soul is weak, deranged, surrounded by impurities which can be made powerful divine and supreme and when normal ordinary soul becomes supreme and gets its original power or becomes divine, the world recognizes it as god or divine power or supreme soul. In short everyone can become god or supreme soul.
The original form of the soul is honest, joyful and holy. Only by taking such an original form or real form can a person become capable of becoming supreme soul. That is why it is said in the scriptures, honesty + happiness + holiness = supreme soul. Supreme soul means nothing but divine power, supreme consciousness and eternal existence. The only three ways to achieve this position that are honesty, happiness and holiness. Power can be physical, mental and spiritual and when it becomes excellent and beneficial it is known as supreme or divine which makes the whole existence energetic and dynamic through Consciousness. In the absence of this divine energy the whole creation becomes lifeless. The highest state of such divine energy is the attainment of God or salvation. The energy or consciousness we currently have is ordinary and needs to be taken high. Power needs to be uplifted. If the energy or consciousness we have can be elevated, it will not take long to become supreme soul. In short, we need to increase our energy or consciousness so that we can reach the highest stage of divinity. For that three qualities have to be attained at least 1) Honesty 2) Happiness and 3) holiness. So let’s understand these three briefly.
In the presence of personal selfishness honesty has lost its value in modern society. Everyone expects others to be honest but he is oblivious to their own honest behavior. People generally understand honesty only in terms of not stealing or taking undue rights or staying away from bribery. Which is true but not entirely true. To be honest means to be truthful, to be simple, to be transparent, to stay away from things like fraud, betrayal, cheating. A man who literally follows the rules of society, the rules of the country or the world, or the rules of nature can be called honest. An honest person is one who constantly takes care of an unworthy deed that hurts others. Honesty includes many valuable things like truth, constructive approach, faith, non-violence, non-aggression, morality, values, virtues, selflessness, non-fraud, transparency, simplicity of nature, etc. In fact, the beginning of honesty should start with oneself first. Everyone needs to be honest with themselves before they can be honest with others. A person who can deceive himself can deceive anyone very easily. We all know many of our faults, vices or immoralities but do not accept or correct them. Thus we are dishonest towards our own soul. Is there any person in the society who is not aware of his misdeeds? But still we pretend to be good. A person who can cheat his own self how can be he careful for others and such a dishonest human being can never increase his inner strength or energy or become supreme soul or attain divine power.
The second element is happiness, happiness is the true form of God, to get which is very instinctive one does not have to try or wander. Happiness is the nature of the soul that is why SACHIDANANDA is so important in the spiritual world. SACHIDANANDA is the combination of three words Sat-chit and ANANDA that is truth, knowledge and pleasure which is the basic form of soul and supreme soul. The aura of a truly happy person is so pleasant and impressive that those who come in contact with him forget all their sorrows for a moment and become happy. PUJYA MOTA has explained the word “प्रसन्नता” in a very different sense where the first word “प्र” and the last word “ता” have been utilized to make real word that is “सत” more explosive. According to the rules of the treaty, two “न’ becomes “त”. The original basic word in “प्रसन्नता” is “सत” means truth or existence. Thus, when we experience the “consciousness of being”, happiness shines. Awareness of such being has to be manifested or cultivated automatically. Consciousness of being means who am I? Means Knowledge of the soul. When something is done in proportion to its merits and in a sense of true superiority, a kind of joy that we feel is called happiness. Thus free frank open laughter, lightness, peace and certainty means happiness. Happiness is a kind of serenity and openness of mind, simplicity, instinct, which does not seem to be a burden in spite of sufficient reasons and circumstances to be worried, such a state of mind is called happiness. It is understandable that if such a state is attained, then becoming supreme soul or attaining divine power becomes natural.
Now let us understand the third element that is holiness or purity, the general understanding of holiness is purity or cleanliness but purity means not only physical purity, but also purity of body, mind and soul. The purity of body, mind and soul depend on each other. The mind of one whose soul is pure will always be constructive (positive) and the body of one whose mind is pure will always be clean, healthy and wholesome. In fact the beginning of the purity of soul and mind is possible through the purity of the body because the pure mind can never remain in the impure body. So holiness or Purity must begin with body cleanliness. There are two means of body purification: 1) bath and 2) food. It is almost impossible to achieve purity of mind without a SATTVIC diet. The purity of the body is a prerequisite for the purity of the mind. In addition, purification of the mind is also possible through scientific prayer, self-awareness, meditation, deep breathing, observation of nature, etc. While the purification of the soul is possible by getting rid of the main ailments of human life such as lust, anger, greed, deceit, ego and jealousy. There are five types of holiness. 1) Purity of mind (absence of liking-disliking) 2) Purity of karma (selfless deeds) 3) purity of character (following virtue in any situation, not leaving the path of truth. Not compromising with values) 4) purity of body (bath and food purification). 5) Purity in words (sweet sensible speech) According to guru SHANKARACHARYA, holiness is of two kinds, internal and external. Internal holiness means purity of mind and speech and external holiness means purity of body as well as surrounding or environment.
Practicing selflessness or altruism, consistency of good thoughts in the mind, conscience in the heart, etc. show holiness. External purification is achieved through Karma-Yoga and internal purification is achieved through GYAN-Yoga. One whose mind is pure has the conscience to recognize good and bad deeds. He does not allow the predominance of the disorders of the senses to settle on his mind and naturally becomes supremely energetic and attains divine power.
Thus from time to time honest conduct, attainment of complete holiness as well as a stable and happy mind makes a person extremely energetic, conscious and supreme powerful through which one can understand and attain eternal existence which is nothing but attainment of supreme soul.
