Ahmedabad, December 8, 2024: The second day of the Gujarat Corporate Cricket League (GCCL) 2024, organized by Ace Software Exports Ltd in association with the Times of India started with a neck-to-neck competition between Milestone XI and Impero Superkings. Milestone XI won the toss and chose to bowl first. Milestone XI set the target of 72 runs losing 8 wickets in a 12-over match. Impero Superking’s inning was limited to 66 with a loss of 5 wickets paving the way winning path for Milestone XI. With this win, Milestone XI became the first team to qualify for the Semi-finals to be held on 15th December 2024.

The second match of the day was played between GST Challengers and Ecosmob Titans. GST Challengers set the target of 70 runs, losing 10 wickets. Ecosmob Titans, with its aggressive batting and cricketing skills, managed to achieve the target within 6.4 overs, losing only 3 wickets. With this win, Ecosmob Titans qualified for the Semi-finals. Abbas Ali from Ecosmob Titans hit half century showcasing the best cricketing skills.

The third match of the day was played between GST Challengers and Yudiz Yorkers. Playing the first inning of the match GST Challengers scored 90 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. Yudiz Yorkers claimed the win by scoring 93 runs and losing 2 wickets.

The last match of the day was played between Impero Superkings and Zeal Mavericks. Impero Superkings set the target of 159 runs losing 5 wickets showcasing their high cricketing skills. Impero Superkings won the match limiting Zeal Mavericks to 82 runs losing 10 wickets. Jay Gandhi from Impero Superkings hit 97 runs marking the highest individual run scored in the league.

Dhruv Mehta from Milestone, Abbas Ali from Ecosmob, Kishan Hathaliya from Yudiz Yorker, and Jay Gandhi from Impero Superkings were facilitated with man-of-the-match trophies.

Dignitaries like Umashankar Yadav founder of Ahmedabad International Literature Festival, Rajesh Hingu director of Setu Media Pvt Ltd, and Subhas Singh, sub-zonal officer of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations were present at the tournament to support and cheer the participating teams.

Large numbers of cricket fans and supporters witnessed the great cricket matches witnessing the best level of cricketing.
