Hidden Brains Clinches Victory in the Grand Finale of the Gujarat Corporate Cricket League (GCCL) 2024
Ahmedabad, December 15, 2024: The Gujarat Corporate Cricket League (GCCL) 2024 came to an exhilarating conclusion today, with Hidden Brains emerging as the champions after a thrilling final match against TCS XI. The event, organized by Ace Software Exports Ltd in association with The Times of India, featured high-stakes semi-finals and a spectacular finale at the Ahmedabad Cricket Stadium.
The grand finale was graced by dignitaries including Amit Mehta, CEO and MD of Ace Software Exports Ltd; Dr. Neeraj Vasavda, renowned senior spine sergeon; Dr. Rajni Mehta, Senior Surgeon and Philanthropist; and Divyesh Patel, President of Rotary Club Midtown, Rajkot. Their presence added to the prestige of the event, which saw an enthusiastic crowd of supporters.
In addition to the coveted GCCL trophy, the winning team Hidden Brains was awarded a ₹50,000 cash prize, while TCS XI, the runner-up, received a ₹21,000 cash prize. Individual awards were presented to players for their stellar performances. Notably, Vineeth from TCS XI was named Man of the Series, Rohan Bhatt from TCS XI received the Best Performance of the Match award, and Abbas Ali was honored with a Gold Coin for scoring the Highest Runs in the Series. Additionally, Vineeth from TCS XI received a Gold Coin for hitting the most sixes (11 sixes) in the tournament.

In the final match, TCS XI won the toss and opted to bat first. TCS XI posted a modest total of 87 runs, losing 8 wickets in 14 overs. Hidden Brains, chasing the target, reached 91/3 in just 9.1 overs, winning the match by 7 wickets.
Man of the Match for the final: Anil Rao (Hidden Brains) for his brilliant 58 runs off 30 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes.
TCS XI was awarded the Runner-Up Prize of ₹21,000, while Hidden Brains, with their dominant performance, walked away with the Champion’s Trophy and a ₹50,000 cash prize.

- First Semi-Final: TCS XI vs Milestone 11 Milestone 11 won the toss and opted to field first. TCS XI posted a strong total of 135/4 in 12 overs, with Vrajesh Soni leading the charge with a brilliant 83 runs off 42 balls*, including 5 fours and 7 sixes. In reply, Milestone 11 could only manage 43 runs, losing all 10 wickets in the process. TCS XI won the match by 92 runs. Man of the Match: Vrajesh Soni (TCS XI) for his explosive 83*.
- Second Semi-Final: Hidden Brains vs Ecosmob Titans Ecosmob Titans won the toss and opted to field first. Hidden Brains posted a total of 119/4 in 12 overs, with Anil Rao scoring an important 53 runs off 32 balls, which included 6 fours and 1 six. Ecosmob Titans could only manage 86 runs in their chase, losing 3 wickets. Hidden Brains won by 33 runs. Man of the Match: Anil Rao (Hidden Brains) for his match-winning 53.
