What is Vastu ???
The term Vaastu Shastra is derived from Sanskrit words ‘Vaastu’ and ‘Shastra’. Vaastu means nature, surrounding or environment and Shastra means systems. This is an ancient mystic science and art of designing and constructing buildings in general and housing in specific.
Panch mahabhootas are five basic elements of nature i.e. earth, air, water, fire, and space. All substances, human beings, animals and material are constituted by these five elements. Vaastu is the science of direction that combines paanch mahabhootas and balance them with the man and the material.
According to vaastu structure like a temple or a home is to be constructed as a miniature version, a microcosm, of the greater universe, the macrocosm. If this is done properly one can take advantage of positive forces within the universe.
Vaastu Shastra is popular in this modern, scientific world which means it is an ancient science that continues to be relevant in the present times. The fundamental principle of vaastu shastra is to add value to a man’s life. Behind every vaastu guideline, there is a scientific reasoning that aims at providing an organized and convenient life to everyone.
Vastu shastra depends on different energies that originates from atmosphere like solar energy from sun, cosmic energy, lunar energy, thermal energy, magnetic energy, light energy, wind energy. These energies can be adjusted to upgrade peace, prosperity and achievements. If a house is made according to these principles, the inmates enjoy all the happiness in life. If it is against vaastu principles, it will be a spot for all kind of issues, stresses and no peace.
