LVMH and Rihanna to Pause Fenty Fashion House
LVMH and Rihanna have decided to pause the production of Fenty Fashion House. The fashion brand launched two years ago and will stay closed ‘pending better conditions. This comes as the firm, L Catterton, invested $115 million into the brand. While the fashion house developed a large fan base for its clothing line, the prices were often labeled too expensive.
Rihanna will continue to operate the Savage x Fenty lingerie line, Fenty Skin and Fenty Cosmetics, further concentrating on ‘the growth and long-term development’ of the other businesses within the Fenty empire. Fenty stopped posting on social media in early January and released its last collection in November 2020.
